12/12/2023 0 Comments New boom bap![]() *bing* A secret show notification pops up, encouraging us to head to the foundry by the train tracks to catch TUKAN and their groovy electronic dance music while the sun set. The evening of show jumping started with with Heaven For Real before bouncing to a cocktail bar for the energetic set from Fraud Perry. Hot dogs, beer, and music poolside were a must-have for resetting after a long night. Starting out with a BBQ hosted by the vibes of the day were on point right off the bat. #fme #musicfestival #indie #summer #music #vlog #toronto #montrealĪnother action packed festival day at ✌️ Lastly, Belgian dance music group TUKAN closed off the night with a late night underground dance party that was nothing short of exceptional. The explosiveness and raw, visceral performance was incredible. Such a fun and surreal experience watching puppets mix an underground electronic set.Įnergy was high so heading to catch hardcore group Truckviolence made sense for me. Then Ammar 808 turned it to 11 with his eclectic and worldly bass music style, before giving the stage over to a pair of techno puppet DJs, Mugzy & Maam. With the wine flowing, the night officially got started with some stellar main stage performances from Milk & Bone, and Les Louanges. Started things off with Flavian Berger in a parking lot for a secret show dance party, before being absolutely spoiled by a magnificent dinner/feast for FME pros/media (sorry to brag). #musicfestival #indiemusic #fme #toronto #montrealĪnother day in paradise, this time with a healthy dose of electronic music and dancing. Thank you for bringing me out for a second year!! The next morning, the out of towners were up at 7am to catch their respective buses home and sleep off the weekend. ![]() With earplugs in tow, I headed to catch Samwoy for what was an expressive and bold punk-infused show, before heading to a dark basement for a blistering set from Saints Martyrs, which was an eccentric way to close off the festival if I do say so myself. We headed back to the main area to catch the third set from TUKAN, which was entertaining as always, and a crowd favourite throughout the weekend. With the view of the water and the clear sky just beyond the stage for our next stop, Hippie Hourah and Lumière gave what felt like an end-of-summer send off with their vivacious live sets. Starting with some indie rock from the band knitting, and some groovy jam rock from French act Comment Debord, the momentum continued with a sunset performance from alt rock group Karma Glider right by the lake. Granted, the shows that were scheduled still brought the punch □ that we all needed to finish off a stellar weekend. After 3 wild days of the festival, it was nice to have the 4th be a bit more laidback.
